January 2022
Dear friend,
Greetings to you in the wonderful name of the Lord Jesus Christ! A new year is upon us and I want to leave with you a couple of verses of Scripture of what God says. We hear and read what the world says and get upset, frustrated, and troubled. But the Lord has something to say about this coming year that I think you will find refreshing. His Words are words of peace and assurance.
Revelation 21:5 says, “And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” God wanted the apostle John to not only relay this message to the people of his day, but to write it for the generations to come! Because it is written, we can refer back to it over and over again. The Lord came to make all things new for you and for me! Will there be challenges in this coming year? Yes, but He who is faithful said He will make all things new for those who look to Him and put their trust in Him! If you feel like you are falling, the Bible says that underneath us are His everlasting arms!
Whatever mistakes or even sins you committed last year, whatever happened to you for good or bad, whatever wrong things you said or were said to you, the Lord Jesus said He would make all things new. We can face the new year with a clean slate before God. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross made for us to be justified in the sight of God. No matter what the world says, if God speaks something it shall come to pass, period!!!
“Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19) You may think you are in a spiritual wilderness, a little lost as far as God is concerned. But He will make a way for you, and you shall know it! His Spirit will lead us and guide us into all truth. Are you dry on the inside? He will make a river for you to drink from, crystal clear and refreshing. He will not forsake those who seek Him! He said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6) In the past I would seek for almost anything to satisfy the thirsting of my spirit. But now that I am a Christian, I realize the Lord Himself is the river of living waters. I am refreshed every time I open my heart to Him. This year my desire, my thirst, is for the Lord, not just “things.” When I seek Him with all my heart, the Scriptures say I shall be found of Him. When the Lord comes on the scene He then makes all things new and fresh!
Regardless of what is happening around the world, no matter what kind of rumors you hear, or fearful things are that spoken of, remember that the Lord will never leave you or forsake you. He is with you alway, even to the end of the world! That is His promise, and that is His pledge to you and me. Notice I wrote “alway” and not “always”. When we walk in HIS way His promises are ours to claim. his way might be new to you, but they are from old, even from everlasting. They are tried and true. We just need to learn His way. If you do, new life will spring up for you!
From everyone at our church we wish you the happiest New Year! May God grant you blessings of health and well being! Please join us on Sunday mornings at 10am. If that is not possible we live stream our services on Facebook Live, at 10am and 7pm each Sunday, and 7:30 pm on Wednesdays.
Sincerly,
Rev. Daniel Bossidy
